Here’s my drum cover for My Lighthouse by Rend Collective. Its definitely not perfect and it took me A LOT of work to get it where it is. I loved having the tambourine in there, wish I had a real one.
The bridge is where it really got tricky for me. Having only played drums for about 7 months, this took me maximum concentration (and a lot of frustration LOL).
I was also highly confused when learning this song because another drummer gave me a suggestion on what kind of groove to play during the chorus, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how what he was saying made any sense. Eventually I just decided to scrap it and go with what felt right to me.
